So many fantastic recordings, both with the Velvet Underground and as a solo artist.

Someone I always wanted to see perform live, but never did.

Liver-related illness at 71yo.

Transformer was one of the most played albums in my collection as a teenager. Not everyone's taste but certainly mine. RIP the great Lou Reed.

Loved Lou Reed especially his classic solo-album Transformer.

Saw him live a couple of times in the 1970's when I was living in Toronto.
