Also +1 for La Sagrada Familia, loved that when I went.
And narrowing down New York to 2 things which exceeded expectations (because things like the Empire State Building - fantastic, but you expect it to be etc.)
The Staten Island Ferry - which is just the loveliest boat trip; and almost completely makes paying for a cruise around the island redundant

And the Metropolitan Museum of Art - a bit more specific, I think you'd have to vaguely like art to start with to appreciate a day trip. Although the weapons department wouldn't be bad for anyone for a short trip

New York, New York, New York. Just love everything about that city!
Pisa is really nice once you get passed all the Africans trying to sell you stuff.

New York
Byron Bay in Australia, it's the surfer paradise from home and away.
Prague just before we ruined it.
Portoroz in Slovenia is a lovely hidden gem.
Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival.

Big +1 to New York, was only there for 4 days but was much better than expected
A little disappointed that I didn't go and visit the Sagrada Familia properly despite living 2 blocks away from it for a few months. Will definitely give it a proper look at some point

Loved Byron, but Palm Beach is where Home and Away is filmed. Loved Fraser Island and Kakadu more, Kakadu really was awesome.
Loved so many things about Belize

New Zealand.
Awe inspiring, beautiful, fascinating. People couldn't be friendlier. And so much to do
Met a family at the airport when we left, who had been there two weeks and had done completely different stuff to us but had an equally fabulous time.
If I had gone there when I was 20, I'd never have come home.
Massive +1.
Easily my favourite country in the world, in particular the South Island. Milford haven is just a ludicrously beautiful place if I had to pick one place there.

Ireland is only a short head behind NZ
Love the alcohol, the people, the horse racing and the countryside.

Hard to single any one place out but here is a couple that stick in my mind.
Bagan in Myanmar/Burma, the place had a real mystical feeling about it that was hard to explain. The panoramic view over the 100's of temples with a fog in the air really took you back in time.

Varanasi in India, proper old India and once again had a really mystical feeling about the place. Even if you didn't have a religious bone in your body you couldn't fail to feel the 'holiness' of the place

Batad rice terraces in the Cordillera mountains in North Luzon, Philippines. Probably the biggest wow I've have in recent years, the pics really don't give you a sense of the size of the it. You basically have rice terraces lining huge mountain sides from top to bottom. I've seen plenty of this in other places but nothing came close to the scale of these.

Jumping off waterfalls in Krka, Croatia:
Watersports, beach days in Brac, Croatia (and anywhere else on The Dalmation Coast):

I was going to mention Croatia - spent a couple of weeks in Rovinj in 1998 and it was lovely. Particularly enjoyed the near-deserted islands off the coast.
Those waterfalls look amazing - another place on my bucket list is the Plitvice Lakes - looks stunning from pics

Prague under 20 inches of snow in February also late 90s was very magical too. I'd imagine it's different now, but would still like to go back there.

Glen Affric, near Loch Ness.
You two should come and see it this time of year. The colours of the trees are amazing.
And the beer by a roaring fire tastes even better.

Yes, we need to organise another trip, although we're both uber-busy until after the new year. I see you mentioned coming up again after the poker festival, you wouldn't want me winning again
