I loved shoot, factored in probabilities versus sheer gambool. Playing banker with a very small starting bank you could accrue a decent amount only to lose the lot on the last round and feel devastated. This would sent you on tilt and you would shoot the pot when you were not getting the right odds. College days, shoot. Early work days, brag.

It's the comedy after a few looseners of someone turning over three clubs and going "go on. £2 for a diamond", everyone rolling their eyes and the banker's face as he turns over Two Clubs

Ahh, so close. Another film I really enjoyed.

It was indeed Lock Stock, a film I must have watched around forty times on VHS - a formative part of my mala educacion.

We have something in common!

Sounds like some fun to be had with that game.  I'm going to introduce that to the local pub game when we get bored of NLHE for the night and start playing "whoever has the button invents a game remotely related to poker"

Apologies for the confusion Smiley

Lock stock is very good but Snatch is one of my very favourite films, possibly the film I have watched most, thus the Snatch though comment.

Sounds like guts - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guts_(card_game)
Played it once for a magazine feature based on poker type games you could play in the pub if you didn't have chips and it definitely created the biggest pots of the night.

Played in said game with dino and can confirm it was ridiculously fun and degenerate
