Taken from BBC News:

France honours crazy pledges after Ukraine win

Doria Tillier, the Grand Journal's weather forecaster, promised she would present the forecast "à poil," ie naked. Would she fulfil the promise? She finally presented the weather report in Poil, a village in the centre of France, though there was, at the end, a distant shot of her running naked across a field, chanting "Et un, et deux, et trois zeros" - "And one, and two, and three-nil."

Does make you wonder.

This country won the world cup in 1998 and the Euros two years later.

They qualify through the playoffs and we have stories like this (there are loads of them doing the rounds!)

Should we have made more of our direct qualification?

Antoines de Caunes as an Englishman did make me chuckle.

same team england grabbed a last minute equaliser at home and held on for a gallant 0-0 away despite needing a win too be sure
at no point did they look like winning 3-0

Ah the bitter and twisted Jocks are surfacing for the WC already. A whole nation supporting any team England plays.

wait a freaking minute i wished england luck although i said i would rather have money of france in a last longer
as i dont think england are that strong despite half the team having coming through or playing for the saints

whats this english sceptics thinking we are all against them

and the only we scots go ABE is when the the media and the english start thinking they are going too win
