30?!?!?!?

Is that it?

Obviously today was always going to be the quietest day, but that is a very small number.

Is there a number of registered players for days b and c?

Shame it's not a million guarantee!

Right in these early levels I am going to try to get round some of the interesting seat draws and give you a few rounds of action. Probably be too busy later in a bigger field

Firstly

25    1    David Clifton-burraway
25    2    Oliver Price
25    3    Simon Brooks
25    4    Julian Thew
25    5    Adam Reynolds
25    6    Olivia Boeree

In level 1, 25-50. All around the 20,000 starting stack

Hand 1 button Thew.

Boeree gets a walk. An auspicious start to my day

Hand 2 button Reynolds

Price opens to 125.

He gets only five callers. I almost called after the big blind and I am not playing. It was value

check to Brooks who leads for 425

Everyone passes. Disappointing for me

Hand 3 button Boeree

Reynolds opens to 125

Boeree 325 on the button

Reynolds looks at her, suspiciously

Boeree continues to contemplate the Metallica back catalogue and remains impassive

Price calls in the big blind

Reynolds arches an eyebrow, and calls

All check

Price 300, Reynolds calls. Boeree calls

check to Reynolds who bets 575

Both pass

Reynolds has the air of someone for whom the natural order of the world has now been restored, and takes in the chips

Hand 4 button Clifton-B

Clifton B 125 on the button

Price 375 3 bet in the small blind

Brooks calls

Double-Barrel calls

check, Brooks 600 from thr big blind

Both pass

Hand 5 button Price

Price 125 on the button

Brooks and Thew call

 two spades

check to Price who c-bets 225.

Thew calls, his hair firmly in place with half a tub of V-Style mousse applied

check check

Thew 350 on the pairing flushing card

Price folds

Hand 6 button Brooks

Price opens to 125

Brooks calls on the button

Reynolds calls in the big blind

All check

In a unanimous display of power poker, all check through again

Reynolds 350

Both pass

Meanwhile as I wander past Michael Hawkins and Alex Martin have played out a big pot

The board reads 6-7-Q-10-Q

Hawkins in the cut off leads the river for 1500

Martin, on the button, calls

Hawkins shows a Jack. Then a Queen. Both at once please sir

Its good, and he takes the pot
