Joe Laming raises and Tony Salmon 3 bets him on the button call

the flop is K-10-3 two hearts

Laming check raises Salmon all in for over 300,000

Laming J-9hh

Salmon A-10hh

A-10 holds to knock Joe Laming out

--

Khaitan had been left short by the Vinson double up at his expense

David C-B raised and Khaitan called and the flop came Queen high.

Both are all in Khaitan with Q-9 and D C-B with Q-Q to knock Khaitan out 14th

Hands just before the break, courtesy of Stephen at Stars who was on table duty

4.25pm: Mayhew doubles up, a broken man
Ben Mayhew may be still in the Main Event, but it's coming at a price. He just "got lucky" a third time and plays on, albeit sheepishly.

This latest hand came against Sergio Aido. Mayhew shoved with Q♦T♦ and Aido called, turning over K♠K♣. The flop looked suspicious, coming J♦3♦9♠. then a turn card K♥ and a river card Q♥.

To look at Mayhew was to see a man busted and broken. Actually he was alive and embarrassed, the straight doubling him up.

"Please leave that one off," he said, looking over at me. "Can't have three in a row like that." -- SB

4.15pm: Brammer among the leaders
Chris Brammer has leapt towards the chip lead in a massive hand against big stack Tony Salmon.

With the board already reading 9♥9♣T♦Q♥ Salmon checked to Brammer who bet 60,000. Salmon then check-raised to 150,000. Brammer tanked for a while. Then quietly, but with his usual conviction, announced that he was all in. Salmon called in a flash and turned over J♠9♠. But Brammer had that beaten, turning over J♦K♠ for the straight. The river, a 2♠ changed nothing. Suddenly Brammer is up to more than a million, whilst Salmon drops to a little less. - SB
