Vinson turns down a deal that saw all four get at least 54800. Play on no deals

Mayhew doubles up Clifton-Burraway

A-5 DCB v  A-K all in pre

5 on the turn

--

then

Mayhew 130,000 in the small blind

Vinson calls in the big blind

   flop

Mayhew 100,000

Vinson 255,000

Mayhew all in 1.3m

Call

Vinson

Mayhew

turn

river...

to double Mayhew and take Vinson right down to the felt

Vinson is unmoved, not a flicker, the ultimate professional

Mayhew pushes his chair back and lets his head sink onto the padded border of the felt, rocking his head gently in disbelief that he got there, genuinely embarrassed to have done so.

Down to under 300,000 Vinson passes a few hands

He is then in the big blind for about half his stack, and then all in versus Mayhew who has J-7 in the small blind

Vinson 8-6

The board runs out 9-5-10-10-4

and Ben Vinson is out 4th

Tony Salmon and Ben Mayhew are 1 and 2 in chips, David Clifton-Burraway the short-stack

A few hands after the three remaining palyers dealt

Chip counts were

Clifton Burraway 3.5m

Mayhew 3m

Salmon 2.4m

They took

Clifton-Burraway £66,500

Mayhew £62,800

Salmon £59,200

and now play for £15,000 extra to the win (PS deal rules, leave at least 10% to play for)

From -Ps

Salmon raised on the button to 120,000, Ben Mayhew three-bet to 265,000 and Salmon smooth called. On the 5♦7♣5♥ flop Mayhew c-bet 240,000 and Salmon flat called. The 2♦ turn was checked to Salmon, he bet 375,000 and Mayhew made the call.

The K♥ completed the board, Mayhew checked again and called again when Salmon bet 420,000. "King high," said Salmon although that was erroneous as he showed K♠9♠ for two-pair. "You don;t have to slowroll me," said Mayhew. "It wasn't a slowroll," countered Salmon. "Just say you've got two-pair," shot back Mayhew.

There's a little bit of tension between these two now and after that hand Salmon is up to 3,700,000 whilst Mayhew is down to 1,525,000. -- NW
