Does anyone do their own for home games?

Every week we play either a game ranging from 6 players to 11. (I have a list of about 20 people but we only ever have one table) There is always small talk of who has won the most, who's the best player etc, but no one can ever prove it! So i would like to create a league to find out.
I was thinking this format:
points    placement
3               1st
2               2nd
1               3rd

I like the idea of awarding bonus points for those who turn up and i'd also like to include who is in the lead in terms of prize money.
Any ideas?

Ty in advice for the help

I use a program called poker tournament manager. This enables you to put all players into a database and will track their results , adding a points system for a league can also be done. You can also publish results to the web. It also sets up tourneys and basically runs them for you blinds/levels chips required wise . A very good piece of kit and only a $50  download.

if you are awarding points for turning up you need to up the place points.

So perhaps something like

1st 30 points
2nd 15 points
3rd 10 points
plus 5 points for attending

how do you play?  Is it a freezeout with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes or does it finish at a certain time and you count up what you've got type thing?  perhaps bonus points can be earned for reaching certain levels if its a cash game or something like that.

If you need a trophy, send me a pm Wink

eh yeah, the payout structure can vary sometimes, but usually it is:
£5 entry fee. Rebuys available for first hour, no top ups.
2nd always gets £5 (if there are more than 9 players then 3rd will get £5, and 2nd £10)
Deals are not usually made until it is heads up.
starting 500 in chips blinds start at 5/10 for 1st hour then to 10/20, 25/50, 50/100, increasing every half hour.

Im in a home league where we issue points as follows:

Last = 1 point
2nd last = 2 points

etc etc.

So you get more points if you win a 10 player game than if you win a 8 player game.
We also give a bonus point the winner.
Our league is run as 1 game a month over the course of a year.  As everyone cannot always make it every month, we use the best 10 scores from 12.
Seems to work.
