Just watching Breakfast and listening to this drivel about banning the word fat.
As an overweight man most of my life, I get really p*ssed off with people like this, that literally sit on their backsides all day, and never make any attempt to lose weight, then expect everyone else to dance around the fact they are fat.
What next?
Glasses?
Baldness?
God help the fat bald glasses wearing blokes among us. Not one will be able to speak to them for fear of getting arrested!!

Yeah, I find it uncomfortable when someone calls me "a large gentleman" or something. I'm fat ffs.
My bonus is I didn't really get fat until early twenties so skipped most of the abuse. I would say I have been called "fat" in a nasty way twice in my life (to my face anyway) one guy got a dig in the mush, the other was a woman.. after I told her she looked like a pregnant Morticia Adams she decided to discontinue the abuse.
ps. got all my hair and often wear contacts. wiiii

I think it came about because the press call normal sized women fat - but it's a bit harder to think of how to legislate on the media not misusing words rather than not using them at all  |
