Just a quick hand from the session i just played if people wouldn't mind having a crack at it for me:

Eff stacks ~$80. Villain is unknown, not many hands have happened at the table and i've never played with him before.


I open $1.50 UTG with 77, 4 callers.

Flop 

I lead out for $5, btn makes it $15. I call.

Turn .

I donk $23, he call.

River  . There's just under pot remaining in stacks.

I never like these hands either. If you would check/call it off anyway it's gotta be better to lead? Or do we want him to stab at it?

Kinda like our hand here somehow. I think I could be a closet calling station in my old age. Hehe.

I think heck call turn and river is best if we lead these hands ten our calling range becomes really weak and capped at overpairs really, I guess some flushes too. I think in general though not having a leadig range here is pretty best.

On the rver let's think what he does with

Flushes - calls and bets when we check
Full houses - call and bets when we check
Hands with are ace high or worse - never call but occasionally bet when checked to

The only hand I see we lose value vs is straights who may check back when we check but I bink they could hero fold too. Nobody likes it when they get donked into after they were aggressive and had the initiative on a previous street so I think that we should likely give him additional combos of those and the value hands and bluffcatchers he can have are mainly neutralised due to him betting then when checked to so I think check call > lead

sure he bets straights and flushes dbl paired board?  People tend to be quite happy when we check and insta checkback?

I said he may check back straights but he can also fold them too.

But anyway superior line IMO is to check call down on this turn you will gt triples a lot and we protect our range too even if it shouldn't be a consideration if its a bonus then look brucie

Regarding turn, i think i'd rather forget balance vs unknown and not give opponent the chance to pot control straights/flushes on a scary card for my perceived range? Really unlikely he's gonna be light here. Probably looks confusing enough for people to shrug call given a strong absolute hand strength and a street to come.
