I'm guessing that the live announcer who introduced "Sean" Lowry to the thronging crowd as he approached the final green in last night's WGC tourney was not a fan of Classic Western movies.

Maybe they used the money for this, instead......

I think it's about time we rekindled this old thread which I discovered on page #4.

I have had a couple of my famous "terrible golf bets" with which to do so:

Taking a bit of a flyer on Miguel Tabuena in Thailand, a guy who's golf swing has really impressed me every time I've seen him and who is available @ 80/1 for some lucky people, 66/1 for others.

Going with my tried and trusted old pal "the nutty professor" Kevin Na @ 40/1 in Florida on a course which suits him down to the ground as exemplified by some good previous form.

I may possibly have dabbled for very small stakes on the EW double, but surely that is only for supreme optimists and Marky 147's.

Just listening to Final Furlong Podcast, and then going to get on.

Would be insane scenes, and should it happen, I might well rent the Villa until Vegas Grin

Ha, was thinking about this thread other day after getting back into the Golf again after a year or so not bothering after doing fairly well

Am also already on Kevin Na e/w at 40s, past form here was just too good to turn down with 3 top 10s in 6 attempts.

Other main bets bets are:

English 33/1 ew
Dufner 35/1 ew
Moore 45/1 ew

And a few speculative punts on longer shots on betty with Senden 180.00 (great record here, 1st and 2 2nds and 10th last time out at the Honda.

And finally Streelman 80.0 (again, good record here 1st and 10th in the last 4 and in good form with 3 top 20s in his last 4 torns this year)

Feel like it could be perfectly set up for Stenson this week but undecided as to whether I can go in on him at 14s though, hmmmm.

Let's goooo

Tabuena birdies three of the last five holes to end up on level par.

Still breathing on that one but only just.

sigh. Moore 3rd to just about get me out of it for the week.

Hoping Haas wins the playoff as he was never on my radar. (Considered Charl before start of play today  Sad )

If only Moore could make a goddamn putt!

....onto next week!

Unlucky Chip.

My pick was so burdened by being my pick he gave up half way through the last round.

Ha, yeah I had a tickle on him ew too. 7 places, wasn't completely out of it for a place when he withdrew either! nvm.

Assume he be out of next week too where he played fairly well last year. T17 -9.
