Folks anyone on here able to help me, I have taken some additional stuff on at work that's going to involve me havingto use photoshop.  I may* have bluffed myself into this role by exagerating my skills so really can't be doing with mucking it up.  I have had a look on some of the P2P/Torrent sites and there are absolutely hundreds of possible downloads.

I need to know what version I should download and then find a video/tutorial on how to use it to a reasonable standard.  I don't think what I need to do will be too taxing but the more I can do the better.

*definitely did overestimate my own ability.

What is it exactly that you need to do?

There are thousands of tutorials showing you how to do many different things.

Do you need Photoshop or just basic photo editing software? What version do you need?  Well, go for one of the latest, CS6 was the last release I believe but they've changed to a cloud based subscription model since.

I need to design flyers, posters and business cards.  Its all internal as part of a bigger project otherwise I'd have gone to a local printers and had them do something for me.

@Graham I'm honestly not a 100% sure as of yet.  I have a few weeks till this takes off then I need to at least look llike I know what I am doing.  I think if I can start it off even if it looks terrible I can delegate to one of our trainees.  But I'd like to at least understand what was going on.

I was in a similar position with excel a few months back, most of the spreadsheets I run are fairly basic but as part of a project I had to learn to do new things and with a full weekend of studying I think I am fairly efficient now.

For designing flyers etc, you would be better off with CorelDraw or Illustrator, they are better for this type of job.
