There have been a lot of changes at S&L over the last week.

We have brought out a new version of the software. v2 includes a ton of changes that have been requested by users, it looks a lot sexier, is more user-friendly, and has some cool new features.

Also, we have launched a rakeback/loyalty scheme. How it works is that users get a certain percentage of their 'rake' back at the end of every month in the form of points. This can be up to 25%. The % of rakeback each user earns depends on how many 'achievements' they unlock. There are 36 achievements to unlock. Some of these are really easy - e.g. Win a Pool, Tweet your entry, Play 10 pools etc. Other achievements are hard - e.g Win pools on five consecutive days, Win a pool with over 100 entrants etc. If you view your profile by clicking your username on the top bar of the pools lobby then you can find out more about the achievements, and see what status you are currently.

Finally, we have put up some very hefty guarantees for the start of the Premiership. We know there is almost no way we will meet these guarantees, so it is pretty much certain that there will be big overlays.

Just to add. We have spent these first 6 months since launch working to get the product right; mainly refining the pools, getting the live feeds working properly, and getting the software right. In that time our focus has not been on attracting new users, in fact to some extent we did not even want too many users until we launched v2 of the software. These first 6 months have - to a great extent - really been a 'soft launch'.

However, now we have software which we are happy with and pools that we believe are challenging and fun, our next stage is to work on attracting new users. This will be our main focus over the next 6 months. We have a marketing plan in place, including an affiliate system, social media, advertising, and 'white-labeling'. If our plan works well then over the next 6 months we will succeed in attracting lots of new sign ups and the pools lobby will be busy and vibrant with lots of users entering and large prize pools. This is the key to our success of course... we need to get liquidity, and we need to get it fairly quickly.
