Oscar Pistorius verdict changed to guilty of murder. "Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of murder after a South African appeals court overturned an earlier manslaughter verdict. He killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in February 2013 after shooting her four times through a locked toilet door. He is currently under house arrest after spending one year of his original five-year sentence in jail. The thing is that armed with a gun why would you not shout something to the person or persons behind the door before firing?
Justice has prevailed imo.

Finally, the SA judicial system has made the correct decision & Justice has prevailed. Only a shame that the Steenkamp (?) family have had to suffer through the trial, the initial verdict, and then the last 9 months or so before this review. I really hope that they can now find some degree of peace and get on with their lives.
