If we polled 100 priests, how many do you think would know the word?

I'm suggesting it may indeed be an ex-word...

i knew it. nothing in the question said "do not used archaic words"

In thy case my counter objection is that it wouldn't score in countdown as it's not in the dictionary they use.
Unless of course it is, in which case I withdraw.

Indeed, it has to count in the dictionary (oxford english), where it could not be found.
