everyone happy going into the final round?  surprising few queries and errors by me!

i could get shirty about Aruba being a country....given that it is technically part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands...

I'm afraid you couldn't. It is one of the countries within the Kingdom of The Netherlands. It's in exactly the same situation as England or Scotland, both of which have recently been accepted as correct answers for countries in this quiz. If Aruba isn't a country, then neither is England or Scotland.

neither England nor Scotland would be accepted as answers for this question though, so your argument is invalid :p

They would, and they have been in recent weeks. The question asked for countries, not states.

England and Scotland most definitely do not start and end with vowels, so can confirm they wouldn't be accepted for this question Wink

I'm only trying to create some faux-farce in a farceless quiz though, don't take me too seriously :p

Good point - they would fail on the vowel thing.

Good job you didn't point out that a lot of the countries accepted started and ended with two different vowels, rather than starting and ending with a vowel.
