Yes.
In order to end the competition in a timely manner (i.e. before November!) we award 10 points to every player who makes the final table.
No selected player has made the final table since I have been running this competition.

I think that it's fair to say that a decent amount of luck is required to make the final table, allied with nerve, poker ability and stamina.
