Having an in depth discussion about this hand, particularly interested in peoples thoughts and evaluation on the turn.  Been at the table less than an orbit so completely random to each other:

presumably
1. trying to win pot there
2. building pot in case draw comes in

i play this the same way vs most opponents, except im only betting a third pot on turn.

I wouldn't be betting this flop into 3 others especially with no backdoor redraw. As played wouldn't be betting the turn, as we cant expect that many flop peels of his to fold this card. If we bet the turn and get raised, were most likely not getting the right price to call, as even though we have decent enough implied odds vs sets / 2 pair hands, when we do make a straight we can only expect to make one bet maximum due to there being a 4 card straight. We're also not drawing to the nuts which is a problem, especially since we can already be dead.

I like the open pre tho Smiley

I'd be 3x'n pre this deep for starters, flop can be checked or betted but lean towards a check. As played check back turn as it almost achieves nothing.

I feel like if we do bet e turn then were sort of obligated to bluff the river unimproved quite a bit of the time as hell have quite a few 78 65 76 96 kinda hands that defo won't fold e turn (to a small bet at least) betting the turn with our exact hand and not bluffing quite a few rivers unimproved feels like we're making it really really easy for those hands (which I imagine make up a decent part of his range)
