It seems someone has allowed ITV to cover some of the world cup matches. Just seen one of their trailers this morning. Very sad, very sad indeed.

Are you suggesting that Adrian Chiles won't provide top class coverage with Roy 'shocking performance' Keane and Lee 'how did I get this gig' Dixon?

Obv Chiles is too boring to even get a nickname...

Had this discussion on Facebook yesterday, and I had the worst three as  Owen, Townsend, and Chiles.

Tonight their pundits are woefully short of personality with Gerrard and Keane doing the honours

I could go on for hours about it but they just do everything so utterly terribly. They simply should not be allowed to cover football.

I think they should just have players who didn't make the squad commentating:

Ashley Cole: " ffs Shaw, I would never have let him get past me there. I knew I should have shot you when I had the chance.."

Carrick: "Oh wp Henderson, yeah that's right just give the ball away then run around a bit"

Clive Tyldesley isn't a bad commentator tbf.

+1, and infinitely better than Jonathan Pearce.

I believe it was Tyldesley (obv I know it was him) that said "Solskjaer!" ...pause... "Manchester United have reached the promised land!"

I see the usual buffoonary from ITV during the tennis final yesterday.  They switched from ITV1 to ITV4 pretty much in the final game so they could show the build up to their celebrity football match Soccer Aid.  Surely we could have missed out on an utterly dull pre-match interview with John Bishop to see if the match finished in set 4!??

When they announced that I immediately switched to Eurosport.

ITV are definitely the worst at televising live sport.

oh lord.

Dear Adrian.

You have a World Cup Winner who the British public have almost certainly never seen being a pundit before and who could be really interesting.

And you've opened with 'what was it like to win the world cup'

Just fuck off and die, will you?

And tell Lee Dixon that Fabio Cannavaro cannot be someone you looked up to as a young lad given you're substantially older than him.
