Personally i don't like the river play to costly to your stack  so I would take this route so if he has hit it you save yourself about 2k in chips and still have 25 -35 bbs still

Flop I would do the same as you once he calls I would expect him to be flatting with hands like 44 to qq, AJs to AKs

So on the flop I would be following through with a bet of around 1.2k

If He shoves you still have enough chips to be in the event
If he folds you win
I think its a lot more risk free then your river shove

Especially as if I was the over guy I wouldn't expect you to have pocket ,6s,8s or in your 4 betting range this early in a tourny, so if I was him I would personally put you on AQh Akh ak,  you can't possible be 4 betting this early with 76. So if I had any of this board I would make the call from him on the turn shove

And if you had say jacks and above you wouldnt be checking on the flop with the draws out there so I think it was the wrong move there.

pre fine

flop i cbet most of the time, around a third of the pot. probably all the time on this particular flop. this is exploited by certain regs though,  so i will mix it up vs these guys more. in this particular spot i'd b/f this flop though.

have noticed more regs are taking your line checking down with AK/AQ/tiny pairs postflop when missed in inflated pots, but i don't have the balls to play the turn the way you did so that line is not for me. if i check 2 streets here i get bet into too often and end up folding so betting flop works better for me personally. checking is more of an option for you as you evidently have the check/shove turn bluff play in your arsenal!

as played on turn - in this hand minister obviously has a % of his flatting pre range he can fold to yr turn re-raise, including AK and some pairs. but theres also a tonne of times he calls you off here with a decent pair. i'd certainly call this turn bet pretty wide vs you. he never has small pairs or flush draws other than maybe AQhh here.  he has to have AQs or AK to fold IMO, anything other 1 pair hand he flatted with pre i think he calls. i'm not putting you on a premium enough here with yr given line to fold TT for example and i doubt minister has flatted pre much wider than TT+ AQs+. i dont know this guy too well so if you think he folds a lot/or if your table image is super tight then it will make yr play more profitable obvs.

WA/WB so seems easy to check flop and see what he does. When he checks you then let him stab the turn and get a bet from his bluffs and realise our equity. I'd play an overpair this way vs someone I didn't have a specific dynamic with. Pre fine, flop it looks like he has a better hand than you so checking is fine. I'd c/f flop.

Turn he's going to have a really strong hand here sometimes and your going to feel stupid. Gonna happen sometimes tho.

I felt like he had a aj/aq kinda hand that didn't want to b/f the flop. On the turn his range improves and my v likely ak hands will feel like this board has now severely worsened and he would bet more often with these hands as I'm probs going to. Et my slow played aa ott. That was what was going through my mind.
