why raise the turn?
if raise, why so little?
once he has called the raise? why call the all-in?

Good questions.
I raised the turn because I thought I was ahead. Also, I thought that if I wasn't, he raise again, and then I could release for little cost.
I called the all-in because I thought I was ahead still due to the lack of any reraise on the turn. Unfortunately, he was unlike most players I come across and hand played the hand rather intelligently. His bet on the turn and flatcall of the reraise was very good and it threw me.

the flat call of the re-raise would have had the warning sirens flashing for me
i like the turn raise, personally, but if you make it $75 say and he flat calls then you must sense trouble

true on the 2nd point.
Why does the flatcall of the reraise get the sirens going. Is this not usually a sense of weakness. I can't see many of the poker fish (which is the majority) betting nuts and then flatcalling a reraise.

well I do it against certain types of player ...bet the nuts for deception and then slow down when I get action to draw them in
depends on whether he thought you were the type of player to give him action.....

I tend to treat them all as fish.
I guess that's where notes come in handy.
I've certainly marked this guy donw as dangerous though. Sneaky so and so.

What's the idea behind the minimum raise in both shark/fish threads?

That was my reason.
It may be illogical though. I guess that is why I'm looking for feedback.

if he has the nuts why is he re-raising?
if he has the non-nuts and is ahead he might re-raise, but you are unlikely to have two diamonds the way the hand has played out
by minimum raising you are storing up trouble for yourself against the better opponents

Yeah, very true on the last line. The sharks will eat me alive, but most are fish. Also, I try to stay away from the sharks.

A bet on the turn could scare me away, but he still made it.
