Decided to watch this one on TV (learnt from getting soaked in South Wales in October) hard to believe Medinah was 2 years ago, what a buzz that was, will never forget myself and James Mitchell sprinting from 15th green to 18th green once Molinari/Woods came through.

Taken every bet you can imagine, need Europe to crush.

Could be Absolutle recipe for disaster, sending out a rookie scot who will be the most nervous person there with somebody in the about the worst form out of the 24.

Think he'll go safe and send out rory and sergio together followed by mcdowell and westy followed by kaymer and stenson then I think he'll go for gallagher and rose.

Are you saying that Poults is in the worst form of all 24 players?

What exactly made you draw that conclusion?

Don't know exactly but i assume hes the lowest ranked player in the world playing?

I do apologise, lee westwood is ranked lower than Poulter.

When was the last time Poulter competed for a major/wgc/sunday sweep at his local club.?

Great start for the lads, especially that bunker shot by Sergio!

Wow, i'm stunned Europe haven't come away with the win from the morning fourballs. 2 of the pairings bottled the 18th.

Watched as much of the fourballs as i could and all of the foursomes. Rory and Sergio were shocking, as was Rickie Fowler. Wonder if they are suffering from sheer burnout after a very heavy schedule since the Open.

Can only see Europe getting stronger to be honest. Can't decide what time to start drinking tomorrow :-)

Blimey

Paddy Reed was impressive but to play in two games will be some going.

btw McGinley seems to me like a weak captain, with his strategy based around giving everyone a game.

I tend to agree with you but also pretty sure he benched Poults for Kaymer in the 4somes, so not too rigid.
