Magic.

I'm sure we shall see some fun over the coming weeks now this has been bumped

Not wrong.

2014

In September 2014, Tony Kendall was the legal representation of widely regarded famous poker professional Phil Ivey in a legal lawsuit pertaining to Ivey's alleged use of the 'Edge Sorting' technique against the Genting Crockford Casino in London. The Judge ruled against Kendall and Ivey - citing deception against the house as against UK Gaming Law.

At the post-trial press conference, Tony said, "The House always wins. We should have known better than to expect to come here and prevail against the Corporate conglomerate of the Casinos."

Phil Ivey revealed that Tony Kendall would be his representation in a similar lawsuit in the US Courts. In appreciation for Kendall's efforts - Ivey purportedly gifted Tony a $$65,000 model train set, one of the largest collections in the world and a lifelong passion of Kendall's.

In the same year, Tony Kendall was awarded the 'Best Contribution to Growing/Promoting UK Poker' at the British Poker Awards.

Who do we think is responsible?

Whatever happened to Ian Oldershaw?

Retired from full time poker & went back to work. Kept most of his Amsterdam winnings, & invested them in THE most beautiful cottage in Wirksworth, in Derbyshire.

I saw him a year or two back in DTD, but then he got banned after a rather unfortunate incident after some drunkard kept slobbering all over him, & Ian said "do that again Son & I'll clock you". The bloke, pissed as a fart, did it again......

What is going on?

Has he not cashed since that tournament in the Lebanon?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Kendall_%28poker_player%29

Being a trainee Sherlock Holmes, I speculate TV's Mr Poker wrote this himself

Exhibit 1 : "Retired from business in April, just decided to enjoy my final years playing poker & chilling"Since when did Wikipedia become a personal diary?

Lol, correct.

Seem to recall that a "mischievious" Edit had been made by a troll, so I had to remove it, & replace the offending line.

I've no idea who started the page, but I suspect it may have been Des Duffy, in the early days of APAT.

It's all quite cringeworthy to read back now.

Not me Mr K, but happy to take the credit!

After losing his fortune in diamond mines (citation needed) in 1967, Kendall resorted to playing a classical guitar and harmonica in Leicester Square for loose change. With a Motown show on at the Empire, he was spotted by a passing Berry Gordy and invited to join him at Abbey Road the following day. There, he met and became good friends with Marvin Gaye, Tammy Terrell (with whom he denied having an affair) and Diana Ross. Whilst a competent performer (Tony Shale and the Aggregates having several Top 60 entries), his real success was in his writing. He worked largely with the most successful label artists and became known in the industry as The Fifth Top. This seemed like the peak of his powers, but little did anyone know what lay ahead...

This stuff writes itself. More available on request. Serialized unauthorised biography, anyone?

I swear I hadn't read this before just now asking Tikay about his thoughts on the Motown and Chess labels.

Me neither when I mentioned The Four Tops.

Just found it, about time the truth came out.

Has The Poker Bastard come out of retirement?
