Shameless brag I know but just bagged and tagged for the night at Planet Hollywood for the WSOP Circuit event .  Just shy of 300 runners , 8 remain starting 2pm Vegas time on Monday.
For what it's worth prize pool about $85000 , 30 paid but no clue as to prize breakdown for top 8 as too old to remember much after 14 hour day there having bagged and tagged the Venetian deepstack event yesterday only to get 3 outted this morning short of the money before jumping to the Planet Hollywood event . Besides they award WSOP rings for Circuit event so to have a shot at winning a ring is kind of cool. It would mean so much more than the money but no doubt the poker gods will not take kindly to this pitifully shameless brag post and they will almost certainly punish me and I will  be out in 8th on the first hand tomorrow

3am here so off to bed . Will give update after play Monday .

Hope everyone I know on Blonde is happy and healthy

Good luck Simon , just play your normal game and I am sure you can ladder a few places Wink

Have you managed to upset any of them with your quick decision making ?

All the best.

Thanks for the best wishes all
Jim , nice to hear from you. Hope you and yours are all well. It seems that I was a trend setter back in the day as almost everyone dwells up nowadays . Seems like the world has caught up with my thought processes. No wonder I don't have an edge anymore !!!!!!!!!
Cards in the air in an hour so I wish you all well, thanks for the interest and good luck messages .

Best of luck Simon, hope you do better than I did on the golf-course today.

Flushy is officially a hustler.

Sorry for the lack of updates folks but I wasn't sitting down long enough for there to be any updates and I was so pissed off afterwards questioning my strategy that I just got drunk and tried to analyze not only that day but the previous day as I had spewed a ton of  chips trying to nick the blinds, getting called and attempting to fire two barrels on a bluff.

Anyway,  It's the first and last time that I post while still in a tourney. Bokked myself good and proper .

As it happened I was 2nd shortest stack with 155,000 and level 22  blinds were 6k/12k with a 2k ante so cost per round of 8 hands was 34k. I figured I needed to make a move early to try to get some chips which with the benefit of hindsight was the wrong strategy. I decided before play started to shove with any ace, any pair and any two paint and either pick up the blinds more than once a round or get action from a loose call ( for which from the previous days play I thought  there were at least 3 candidates ) and hope to double up.
I will be very interested in anyone's thoughts on strategy with my stack, those blinds and 8 handed play as I ran ace , 4 off into aces. 6 hands into the day.
Now this might just be unlucky but should I have either waited for a better hand or put in a raise of say 28- 30 k and get away from the hand to a re-raise ? One train of thought is that a standard raise and a fold leaves me on life support and that was why I shoved a 13 BB STACK . Another is that I perhaps could have laddered if I had been more patient or simply waited for a better hand .  As I said all comments are welcome as I need to learn some lessons here .
Thanks again for the good wishes
