Hattie Carroll is another fine song, I am a big fan of Christy Moore's version. Interesting this thread popped up today as earlier I was listening to Woody Guthrie who was a big influence on Dylan, Woody was an influence to many political singers/songwriters and activists. For a large part of the afternoon I ended up listening to many political songs sung by Guthrie, Jara, Moore, Dylan, Rovics, Banda Bassoti, Los Fastidios, The Wakes, Blaggers ITA.

Saw this strange movie a few years ago, with several actors playing versions of Dylan. I had no idea what was going on, but I'm sure it was very good. |
