I've  been trying to find out how much Dropbox costs, but I can't find a price list or anything.

Online storage advice appreciated.

Dropbox has varying capacity packages based on unspecified cost.

I've downloaded Google Drive to my laptop. Three folders have appeared, Google Sheets, Google slides, Google Docs.

Now what do I do?

Aren't they your drive folders?  I assume you put files in them and they are the ones that you can access from anywhere.

Isn't there also a folder called just "Google Drive"?

That's what I have - anything put in there gets synched to the drive, although to be honest I normally just go online and upload whatever I want on there rather than doing it this way

It doesn't seem so. The Google Docs folder seems to be a program for creating documents, not storing them. At least I can't see an intuitive way of getting say, a picture into it.

I would have thought that perhaps I could left-click on an item and send it to Google Drive.

Can you log into Google drive online? https://drive.google.com

Like I said - this is the option I use, and I think it's pretty intuitive once you're logged in.

No. I don't have a Google Drive folder, but I have found the program in my program files and created a shortcut. When I open that it looks like a folder.

Do I create new folders within Drive to organize things?

Making (slow) progress.

It looks like files have to be uploaded individually rather than in folders.

I use dropbox free and get 5Gb of storage. Used this for about 5 years or so with no hassle and you can upload multiple files in one go.
