I have win 8 on my current machine it's ok but I prefered win 7 don't notice many changes when running it properly

wow my PC is 5 years old

looking to replace it with something along the lines of this one but with 2021 specs

i want to try and keep the speed up number crunching and price max of £1k

anyone  got any views?

what are you getting it for? how much is the quote?


the processor is v good, the graphics card seems kinda good value but not great esp compared to the processor, so it depends what you want the system for.

ssd is a must, and the 2ndary drive implies you want alot of storage for videos of porn. you can google 'make windows 8 like windows 7' when you get it so you can get rid of the stupid tiles features.

No expert but I can find some performance stats:

Your old CPU:  8194
New CPU: 18296

Old GPU: 293
New GPU: 10064

Is 512GB enough storage space for you? You had 3240GB when you bought the old PC.

I did a quick comparison to a £940 PC on ebuyer.com and yours seems to be fairly priced, its specs were a little higher than the £940.

i keep mst of my stuff on an extra drive now saves problems when i am resetting or anything
