We stayed at a nice hotel on the marina last time, spitting distance to the casino, and also there is a 24 hour asda close by ... lovely pies
I think it was called the Seattle... But there are plenty of guest houses etc close by .

When I was in Brighton I stayed at the Abbey Hotel because it was the cheapest on expedia.
I wouldn't recommend it as the toilet facilities are shared (ewww) and not very fresh smelling either.
They boast that they "have the only 24 hour self service restaurant in the UK"
It's actually just a vending machine.

Yes the Seattle is at the Marina. There are obviously loads of hotels in town like the Old Ship Hotel or the Holiday Inn, and they are a 5 minute cab away from the Marina.
If you have a lovely lady lined up or guaranteed to pull on the night go for the hotel Pelirocco, the Nookii room has been highly recommended.
As for the Abbey Hotel, i am not surprised it was the cheapest on Expedia!

It's the Grosvenor, near the pier, not the Rendezvous which is at the Marina.

Oops you are right, I have just looked at my leaflet on this & it is the Grosvenor and had assumed the Rendevous had sent me details.

I'm thinking Queens Hotel, is that near the Grosvenor? I've played at Rendezvous before, I stayed at either Queens OR Kings hotel (the memory isn't what it was) and that was only 5 minutes in a taxi from Rendezvous.

I think the Kings hotel will only be about £50. Surprised at the cost of the Queens but problem might be is that Valentines day is mid week and may have bumped up prices at the weekend for romantic couples. I would have thought if you were paying £160 you might as well go for the Thistle or the Grand for the same price.
As for RFC straight

Thistle is £125, or so I was quoted.
It was Kings hotel I stayed at last time. Reasonable sort of place.

I plan on going also, if I can win enough to pay for it
But £125 a night? Is there anywhere to pitch my tent?
