Bangkok. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's Marmite City. You will love it, or you will hate it.

Why do people use the Marmite term then explain it?

Some people love to have it explained to them, others will hate it.

Looks Fab Kev.

I went to Morocco once on a day trip from Gibraltar. The highlights were eating a goat, missing the ferry back and almost getting arrested.

Looks Fab Kev.

I went nick the goat to nearly get you arrested to Morocco once on a day trip from Gibraltar. The highlights were eating a goat, missing the ferry back and almost getting arrested.

Did you nick the goat to nearly get you arrested? 🤣

So you would have travelled to Tangier I guess. I was there 37 years ago and realised I'd made a mistake when our bus taking us to the hotel got stuck behind sheep being sheperded down the main street. There wasn't much to do as it was NY so we flew to Gibraltar for the day. Didn't nearly get arrested though.😁

Are you still in Thailand Tom?

After a few days in Bangkok we took a train to Kanchanaburi, specifically to see the death railway and the bridge over the river Kwai. If anyone is interested in that sort of WWII and POW stuff there is loads of info on the web so I won't start to document it here, otherwise I'll get all bogged down and blathery again.

It turned into one of the best trips of the whole holiday. Here, briefly, is what I loved about it.

The slow, slow train ride there. Wooden bench seats and big open sash window, vendors walking up and down selling food and drinks.

Kanchanaburi itself. It was like an ordinary Thai village but it was cashing in on the fact that people came and stayed there to see the bridge, the war cemetery and the museum so that made it a little more touristy and accessible, i.e, more English spoken, pictures of the food in restaurants etc.

The Jungle. Being in the actual jungle was a childhood dream fulfilled, especially so because it was really hot, really humid, really impenetrable and really scary.

Great photos and videos Tom.

We were just away for a week to celebrate my 65th birthday. Loved Marrakech, it's people, culture and food.

Bangkok pfft
Riding Camels in the Desert pfft

Can't beat the Coronary Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on a chilly Thursday in November.

Was scheduled to have a medicine review at the Doctors Surgery at 11.15am on Thursday.
At 10.30am i had a sudden crushing pain in my chest and knew immediately it was my heart.

I phoned for a taxi and was at the Surgery within ten minutes.
When i arrived there were four people in the queue ahead of me so i did what most British people do , i joined the queue.Unfortunately the old boy at the receptionists desk didnt look like he would be finished any time soon so i walked out the back to the Nurses room..
"Excuse me,could you help please , i'm having a heart attack"

Within seconds i had 5 or 6 members of staff attending to me as i drifted in and out of consciousness.

The Ambulances arrived within a matter of minutes - 2 Ambulances were sent as another male had collapsed in the car park and was in a bad way.

It wasn't long before i was at the Hospital , wheeled straight into the Operating Theatre and two hours later lying in bed in a lovely room on my own.

Turns out two of my stents had become blocked,so i had two balloons coated with anti coaglicant inserted.
Was back home Saturday afternoon.

Our NHS is wonderful.

Joking aside Boo that must have been a scary experience, well done for staying so calm and doing what needed to be done.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Boo old mate.

I'm not sure if I would have handled that as well as you did.
