Elvis

Absolutely this.

Went to the Elvis CdS show in Vgeas, was really looking forward to it.

But when you get beyond the myth, there are very very few top quality songs.

Just alot of meh.

The Who, I have tried.  I just don't get it.  I never saw them in their pomp and I am sure with Moon they were very different but everytime I have seen them they have been so flat.

The Police. His voice just grates on me. Unjust never believe that Sting actually enjoys playing live.

Florance and the Machine, one dimensional Kate Bush wannabe.

George Ezra/Sam Smith are they the same person? George Ezra live was one of the most painful hours of my life.

Paloma Faith grates on me a little bit because it sounds like she is just trying to copy Amy Winehouse...

Most of Led Zeppelin, though not all of it

funnily enough, as i should like them a lot with my tastes, Kasabian. they just try too hard. never hit it off with them and they are achingly trendy and a band you "should" like

Floyd/Zep/Coldplay and add Bob Dylan

And not on the same scale but Nick Cave seems to be one of those fashionable to like ones, I just don't get

Radiohead

ha, going through a massive Radiohead phase again.  Queen, Florence and the Machine, Mettalica and Bob Dylan good shouts. Paloma Faith I can live with out.   You are supposed to hate Coldplay FWIW, they are growing on me a bit because of this.   You are supposed to hate The Beautiful South too, yet they have no redeeming features whatsoever.  I remember Runrig too, unpopular outside Scotland, which is no surprise, who knows why anybody bought any of their dirge within Scotland.

I love music though, and am sure I like all the music I am supposed to.

Just had a look at this, and quite surprised how many of them I have a lot of time for, Dylan easily the highest I have no time for.  Will put up Little Richard, as he is way too high in that list, but can't see that been controversial enough.

Is it ok if we like lots of stuff when it's live, even though we might not play it ever at home?
