posting things you do not believe purely to get a negative reaction from another poster, ie posting to wind them up
whether some people actually believe some of the things they post is a tough judgement call to make (and the best trolls know which side of the line to pitch the post), and the lines between debate and trolling get blurred!

yup pretty much someone who goes around posting deliberately inflammatory stuff on t'interwebs for the sole purpose of getting a reaction out of people - usually anonymously.
I'm interested in how people pronounce the word - I've always said it to rhyme with bowling which i assumed was right, but I seem to be in a minority
