Visiting Sheffield this weekend and have  tried to do the Hallam one a while back during a previous visit but snow stopped play so looking forward to having a  go this time.

Any Blondes running this one?

Steve

I ran Hallam earlier in the year, it is right near the student area of Sheffield which brought back memories for me. It would be quick if it didn't get such big number 700+ the day I went and the course just isn't wide enough for that so you end up following a lot.

In fact I have done all the Sheffield ones if you want any more advice, Hallam is the flattest of them all.

Thanks, read this too late I am afraid you were 100% correct such a big field,  635 runners.   I slotted myself in the middle of the group as recommended during the race briefing and initially was treading water but soon got going, reckon it cost my 10 secs but no biggie.  Enjoyed the course and am pretty sure a fast time is doable if you can get free running.

Lovely to see so many people active not only in the park run but all around the park,  little groups doing various activities, I will deffo be back.
