Indeed, that must be the first online tourny where I was able to build steadily and not feel any pressure from the blinds.

Building a steady stack would have been nice, mine was up and down more often than (fill in your own smutty metaphor)

Seriously, in due course a league would be a sensational idea, with Poker 425 providing the funds for a final Freeroll for the top players in the league (pretty please)!   Wink

A League would be a great idea.
As for funding.... I used William Hills software last night, for the first time, and it was rather good......... was that the right thing to say?  Roll Eyes

i was just a small cogg in the wheel the real movers and shakers in getting this set up so quick wish to remain nameless
but my many thanks to them for getting me in contact with the right people

and many thanks for crytologic for sponsoring the event and adjusting the strucure to make it very playable although i could have done with an extra 20k in starting chips

I'm sure a sponsorship deal cannot be far away.

i know its been said plenty of times already but it was a great torney. loved the 20min clock you could be really patient and wait for the big hands to come around i think it suited my game nicely. also it was great there was no bad feeling even when there was bad beats. well done all those who organised it roll on the next one. any ideas when that may be???

When/where the next one?

We are talking and listening & trying to decide how best to move forward. There WILL be others, regularly. But we need to get it right.

Too often overdoes it. Not often enough, the interest wanes. League or no league? Added Money - we cant expect that sort of bonus very often. The Poll had Crypto and Stars neck and neck, Crypto just ahead, so we thought we'd rotate. Not sure now, last night was SO good, & the structure in particular was spot on.

We took our time - to the annoyance of some - to decide when and where to have our first one, and as luck would have it, all went well.

But one thing IS certain. 20 will be the upper limit. Many folks, the majority in fact, can't easily manage more than that. If we made it 200 or 2,000, we could not have more fun than we had last night. So 20 max is a cert.

So we will give it a couple of days before letting you know what has been decided. In the meantime, give us your views please. And NO, do NOT start a poll please. Just feedback.

Thank you to everybody, by the way, for their support and kind words. Except that toerag, thebigO, who nabbed the 100 bounty. Pah!

keeping it at 20 should ensure numbers remain decent whilst there's still a good prize for the winner. If you can get crypto to continue with the 20min format (i guess a continuing bonus would be asking for too much in the long run!) tis hard to see any reason to move it elsewhere? Making it a league would be fun too if its not too much hassle - maybe a fortnightly tourney on rotating days of the week to make sure everyone gets a chance and a quarterly winner on the leaderboard getting a small prize.

Jimmy,

Thanks.

Well, as I said, we will assess the feedback & then get it on.

But I have to say, your post rings all the right bells with me.

If it aint broke dont fix it Tikay. Keep the thing on crypto as even though I went out early I hung around on the rail and the 20 minute clock was a godsend. Like the idea of a league as well.
