So, a pensioner, blind and somewhat 'odd' in appearance is mugged just outside his house and the story is reported in the local, North East, newspapers, TV and radio

A young girl sees the story and starts a donations website hoping to make £500 for him.

As of today, the running total is over £200,000....

It's amazing how very very few articles you see in the papers/online/news about people who arent "different" being attacked and nothing happening except maybe a police crime number being issued

I'm not a fan of this attitude. Id rather look at the positive side of human nature. Great story

Don't get me wrong with this G2L, I think that the type of people that carry out this sort of thing are despicable, and hope that justice is served on them.

But life can be a real bastard, and one thing it isn't is "fair".

However, I also do like a feel good story.
