The term "ryepeck" seems to be exclusive to Thames Punting Club.

Note, in the background, the unique Maidenhead Railway Bridge.
When constructed in 1838, it was the widest, flattest, brick arch in the world.
Over 175 years later, it is still doing the job it was designed to do, by I K Brunel.
