John Daly was in fine form yesterday, he took 7 off the tee at a par three & three putted for a nice even 10. Fortunately, he retained his composure. Briefly.

The yew hedge at Powis Castle needs cutting. Even John Black does not have a hedge that big.

Lord Janner attended Court yesterday to face charges of sexual abuse, the last of which was 27 years ago. He has been diagnosed as suffering from severe dementia, but was still required to attend in person.
Legal reports suggest he will be found "unfit to stand trial", but a trial of facts, in his absence, is likely.

It's amazing to see the variety of recreational pursuits people have. And, like poker, I expect they all have forums, & get-togethers & big annual events.
Yesterday it was the turn of Volkswagen owners, in their annual jamboree at Harewood House. Harewood House, so wonderfully grand, always seems to me to be a bit out of place in lowly Yorkshire, it surely belongs in Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, or any of the beautiful counties where posh people reside.
Anyway, that aside, it was Volkswagen Heaven.

Harewood House is fine where it is. Bloody Southerners already nicked Leeds Castle.
