14 y/o boy makes an electronic clock - teachers decide to call police - (English teacher not electronics teacher obviously) so gets hand cuffed (whilst in his NASA t shirt)

Now has invites from Mark Zuckerburg and Obama to visit Facebook H Q, White House.

Less said about the school the better.

I believe that at one point the chief of police was considering charging him with an offence (wasting police time or something) despite him saying all the way through it was a clock. Would have loved to see what happened if a white kid had stood up and said it was theirs, would they have just gone given him a talking to and not handcuffed him etc.

In fact the handcuffs are really shocking if you look at the size of him did they think maybe he was going to try to overpower them.

He was traumatised, and now his lawyers want compensation. As it happened in the US, that'll be $10m from the city plus another $5m from the school. Thanks.

Kid was stupid enough to take apart a clock and put it in a suitcase and plug it in during a random English class after being warned not to. I feel bad for him in regards to the proportion of the response but I sympathize too with the school, who were forced into a horrible situation by sheer stupidity.

So did the majority suggest Clodagh, or was it chosen from a pre-approved list?
