Poole or Ashfield (Glasgow) are the only two speedway tracks I can think have grounds in the middle still, so will go with, Poole?

Boom, got it.

It was actually a very important venue at one time for a sport other than football.

Somewhere in West London, or Middlesex?

No

we'll add some drama to it

you collectively have 20 questions from now to get it

whoever gets it after 20 Q's puts a sporting image up with associated question

if its before 20 Q's it stays with me

Well I can see, I think, "Yiewsley Steel" & "Phoenix (?) Brewery", & one that says "Southern" something, but not much else.

Still, "built up area", that helps, it means it is near or in a Town, which narrows it down significantly.
