Remember that open terrace and toilet now.  Lost 4-1.  Michael Gilks scored a couple for them and they had Shaka Hislop in goal.  Think it might have also seen Kevin Phillips first ever career goal (or one of his first ones).

Burnley cricket club, of James Anderson fame, next door

Turf Moor's longside modelled on Leeds Road, Huddersfield which was a touch bigger. but not, interestingly, a leitch design itself as leeds road was

the bob lord stand, bottom left, survives intact to this day and is an old fashioned relic in an era of new or otherwise refurbished stadia

With the flags on the stand, my gut reaction was Ayrsome park during the World cup in 1966.

That building in the background looks far too nice to be in Middlesbrough so It can't be right

ayresome park must have changed a bit in 23 years from 1966 to 1989 when I last went!!!!  Proper piss hole of a gaff inside and out.
