I was trying to work out what was running round the outside as the coreners looked too weird for speedway and greyhounds, but wikipedia can help.

The tight track meant that turf had to be brought on to make the corner flag area for football matches and removed once the match had finished.

I am crap at these, but..  

Mtchells and Butler pub in the corner.  Looks like a small ground.  Walsall? Never been, so no idea if there is a pub there.

In the midlands i would imagine with an M&B boozer?  Correct?  I would say early/mid 70s.
