I bet alot, my friends bet alot.

I place bets for them on sites they can't get on, and they place bets for me on sites I can't get on.

If they tell me that they made an error on a bet afterwards and that I they I wasn't going to get paid now I would not, in a million years, expect them to lay/pay me.

It sounds as if Chompy has trust issues here, maybe he thinks whoever put the bet on for him freerolled him for a week perhaps and now that person wants the 11/10 for themselves?

I trust my friends who put bets on for me and would never ask them to prove it - however IF this somehow were the case that Chompy has this in the back of his mind then surely asking to check his history in his account he was alleged to have placed it would put any trust issues to rest?

It's a genuine mistake, and if you are that concerned about it don't use this person for placing bets again.

The bet isn't even a winner yet! Basically you've just missed the price due to human error. Big deal.

+1

Trust issues are just some of the issues imo

I think Nirvana should honour the bet, he can afford it as he keeps chopping the Friday night comp at Luton, apparently he is not good enough to win it and he likes to eat value pie, Everybody wins.  Wink

Surely he should just have said nothing and waited for you to back the other side in a couple of weeks?

Think I'd just let it go and assume it was true.  I think I am a bit with Mark too?  Even at the start when Sky laid me, not sure they'd ever have laid the full £150 on anything the slightest bit niche.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

you should be paying him for not having his skybet account closed. If the £150 had gone on his skybet account would be dead.  You therefore have another chance to drill his skybet account in a bigger way.  You are the winner in this.  PM me and i will give you a bet i want to get on at skybet.  Limits are very large for an uncut account.

I think it depends on whether you pay him for bets on.

If he does it as a favour, I think sending you the £150 back is fair enough. Annoying but you have to swallow.

If you pay him though, I think he should stand the bet.

As a sideline if i ask/pay people to put me on i always ask/request for a copy and paste of the betslip as confirmation.  Might be worth considering this for the future.  If they are genuine then they have nothing to hide and forward it to you with bet ref number etc etc as proof.  Takes away the element of doubt you currently have.

I'm just wondering if your attitude means you might not even get the 150 back, worth thinking about before posting stuff like this publicly ?
