Yogi, a message to you and others who run cardrooms.

We have discussed "spamming" rather more than I would wish these last few weeks, but the message is getting through.

For the avoidance of doubt, posting information about upcoming "live" tourneys or festivals is NOT spamming, & we welcome it. Our readers, judging by the feedback, NEED and WANT to be informed of upcoming events in bricks and mortar casinos.

So you, and your like, are doing blonde and it's readers a great service.

However, poker players are averse to thinking ahead (like you need telling THAT), so you need to repeat the process, most especially a few days ahead of the event.

That will be followed, typically, by all sorts of questions from the readers. Will it fill, blind structure, prize structure, 1 or 2 day, starting chips, local hotel availability, even are there any lap dancing clubs, da de da de da. And you reply accordingly, and so it goes on.

But remember above all. We NEED TO KNOW about these events. And so we look to you guys to keep posting.

This applies to all cardroom Managers, of all Casino Groups.

As a tip, I suggest they are couched in "plain speak", rather than corporate blurb.

There you go. Cardroom managers, you have your prompt.

PS And yes, we will include a section for "Upcoming Events" in the revamped Forum. So we need you guys to use it.

OK? OK!
