With Jeremy Clarkson being suspended- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31824040
Do any of you think the program will survive him being sacked(if it happens)??

I imagine he will have no shortage of offers to do another show with a similar format if he wishes...

it has made the BBC fortunes in overseas sales

not only will he be fine, and much in demand if released but the show will carry on without him

the format is bullet proof

Not sure about that, I think Clarkson basically is Top Gear, the other two are just sidekicks.

the other two are really under-rated broadcasters

top gear existed before clarkson too

Top Gear managed to survive when they replaced Fat Jason with James May.

DON'T TELL ME YOU'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT FAT JASON.

If he's sacked, do you think they'll replace him or carry on as a double act?

either?

depends on workload on the other two, and their other commitments

they do two top gear series a year, 6 episodes each...each have a big trip...so probably a new fella i suppose?

A few people have been calling for Chris Harris to be on TG for years but if Clarkson goes to ITV and makes 7th Gear or whatever then everyone will just watch that.

Clarkson and a partner own the show Top Gear.

Any other channel snaps it up.

they sold it to the BBC for millions a few years ago and the partner is prob the bloke he had a fight with?

Sigh, not quick enough.

Still if he walks in to Channel4 or ITV offices 'Hello chaps, I'm Jeremy Clarkson and I've got a great idea for a new show.'
