Change the thread title, IMO.
Brilliant appointment. I might even watch it now.

Great appointment, and after watching his TFI revival last week it was great timing to remind us all how we have missed him on TV. Likely will bring something fresh to the show while keeping with the original ethos.
And maybe....just maybe, it will be about fucking cars again.

TFI Friday reminded me how different TV is now from the nineties and how the past is best left where it is.
I loved Top Gear. I can't really imagine it with a new host. Hope it works nevertheless.

Great appointment. Hopefully this lady will co-host. She would be THE perfect presenter in my mind.

Top gear
is
Clarkson and co. Anything else is a different show with the same name.

Excellent appointment, could never abide either Clarkson or Evans.
Never used to watch it, definitely won't now.

completely disagree
top gear has been around since 1977 and has had many many presenters
Evans is a superb broadcaster, skilled at new ideas and developing formats and as we have seen with the R2 breakfast show, brings an audience with him
this is the appointment that helps the programme move on from clarkson quickest
