PokerStars - $5+$0.50|25/50 Ante 5 NL - Holdem - 9 players

Pre Flop: (pot: 120) Hero has

2 folds, UTG+2 calls 50, 4 folds, SB calls 25, Hero raises to 275, fold, SB calls 225

Flop: (645, 2 players) Two Diamonds three diamonds
SB checks, Hero bets 400, SB calls 400

Turn: (1,445, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets 1,050, SB raises to 2,144, Hero calls 1,094

River: (5,733, 2 players)
SB bets 2,855, Hero calls 2,855

Not long into this comp so readless - please could I get everyone's thoughts on all streets?

My thoughts on flop and turn sizing are to protect my hand and maximise value. Would it be better for me to be sizing smaller on turn (or flop and turn)?

Thank you for reading,

Ash.

I think your sizings are good but turn is a fold. Unlikely to be a bluff or a worse hand raising for value.

Calling the river feels pretty ambitious. When you call a check-raise on the turn, the villain knows you are calling a lot of rivers and is largely irrelevant to your range (J9/99 occasionally, maybe).

He must be betting for value way too frequently to justify a call.

For that reason, because the river is a fold to a bet, I agree that folding the turn is best.

how deep are we? but anyway I 3b jam turn ainec for me. Im not sure how people are perceiveing a random in $5 deepstack to be so nutted with their turn raise, these are probz the most soft comps for early doors, people are lol creative and are definitely not locked to be better than AA by the turn.
