Not suggested, what do you have as a typical portion?

Fish fingers? - I'm an adult and don't eat these. I'd much prefer some lemon sole in bread crumbs, 2 slice with chips and mushy peas.
Sausages? - 2 links on a roll or one square.  Normally have 2 rolls.  If with a Fry up then probably 2 square, 3 links.
Pasta? - As much as I can get on the plate/in the bowl.
Grapes? - Punnet.
Toast? - 2 slice.
Bacon? - 3 per slice of toast so 6 in total.
Roast Potatoes?  - I like mine fairly smally so about 3 potatoes quartered.
Custard Creams? - At least 4 more likely 5 but have had upto 8.  Must be served with a cup of cold milk.
Lemon Squash? - N/A
Rice? Normally - half a tray from the take away.  If making it in the house probably a bag of boil in the bag rice.
Baked beans? -  On toast a tin, with a breakfast 3 spoonfulls.

Anything. What goes as a portion in your house?

Come on now, this must be an English thing.  How many times have you gone out for food and fish fingers are an option on an adult menu? They are always under the kiddy section.  I was like 7 or 8 the last time I ate Fish Fingers.

I'm with Kmac. I haven't had a fish finger since I hit double figures in the age stakes.

A well made fish finger sandwich would be in the final half dozen as I whittled down the list to choose a final meal.

Fish fingers? - 4 between two slices of bread

Sausages? - 4 (two or three if in a sandwich

Pasta? - errm, enough?

Grapes? - A sprig

Toast? - 3 slices, proper bread only, spread with real butter

Bacon? - 3 or 4 rashers of back depending on time of day. 3 in a sandwich

Roast Potatoes? - Loaads

Custard Creams? - None

Lemon Squash? - Pint

Rice? - see answer above for pasta

Baked beans? - standard tin if on toast, about 1/3 of that as an accompaniment to breakfast

Adults eating fish fingers.  Weird.

Excellent emergency food and I'm a bit of a gourmet.

It's five for me with sauteed potatoes and fiery tomato sauce.

I do feel a little dirty afterwards though.

5 is a strange number. I can only imagine there is a convenience element. How many are in a box Ralph?

How do some of you have three slices of toast as a portion? Not saying it's a bad amount as a portion size, but surely your toaster has either two or four slots so multiples of two is surely standard?

you assume everyone has a toaster.

We don't have a toaster and we eat toast/toasties quite regularly
