Some sick cheap prices right now, I've never seen it so cheap.

If you don't want to go to Thailand try a search elsewhere in the region or look at some of the budget airlines to fly on else where from Bangkok. Your are looking at about £350 indirect or £450 direct, don't think I've ever got a flight for anywhere near these prices in the last 10 years.

It can be piss cheap when you are there too if you are sensible....

There is a reason its cheap - if you have not flown air china and you do you will find out why - not all airlines are the same

Nonsense, I've flown with them three times on that route and they are fine, not the best but not the worst, probably in the middle. Also Thai airways are £450 direct, they have upgraded a lot of their planes in the few years and are one of the best airlines on that route now.

Flight time/stopover seems a bit long but not long enough to do much with.

Direct £450 then mate if that's an issue.

Just pointing out these are prices I haven't seen for a long time. Don't think I've ever been direct for less that £540, or indirect for less that £500, even if you include shit stopovers or shit airlines.
