Game theory,Nash Equilibrium, prisoners dilemna, the film a beautiful mind

"Nobel Prize winner John Nash and his wife Alicia have died in a taxi crash in New Jersey.

The Princeton University mathematician - whose life was portrayed in the film A Beautiful Mind - was 86. His wife was 82.

They were thrown from a taxi on the New Jersey Turnpike when the driver lost control and hit a rail at 4.30pm local time on Saturday"

as a someone who plays exclusively sub 25bb poker mr nash has had a remarkable effect on my life and i've spent countless hours thinking about subjects built upon the bedrock of his ideas. his ideas were profound and pervaisive, influencign many area of life from the mundane [poker] right up the gravest decisions taken [warfare]

truly original and brilliant thinkers are a rare thing.

he was one of them

a beautiful mind indeed
