Just spotted John Shipley on the rail. John plays this event every year. He used to do very well online at PLO, think his alias was sapphire1, which is also his blonde alias.
John was always said to be the best judge of greyhound racing in the UK, though whether that remains the case I have no idea.

Simon is guaranteed $111,134, which will be his biggest live cash ever.
His previous biggest cash was $93,000, when he finished 5th in this very same event, exactly 10 years ago. On that occasion, there were less than half the runners there were this year.
In that event, Derek Baxter was 4th, Julian Gardner 10th, John Gale 11th, Peter Costa 12th and Tony Bloom 14th. The Brits used to dominate PLO back then.

Simon just came across, he tells me he is around double average at 3,200,000.
4 players are around a million, which will be less than 12 bigs when the blinds accelerate shortly.
