Jermain Defoe Personal Assistant

£50K-£60K a year to be Jermain Defoe's personal assistant.
Some extracts from the advert...
We are looking for a highly experienced Executive Personal Assistant who will be working closely with senior manager of Defoe Enterprise Ltd.
The successful candidate will be involved in “scheduling and organising the manager’s and families’ private, social and business calenders, arranging all public appearances, arranging and securing travel arrangements, working on selected business projects and maintaining daily itineraries”.
They will ideally be able to “create a global brand for the Jermain Defoe name, growing his online database on his website, Twitter, Facebook and other social networking platforms” as well as “gaining further recognition within the media” and produce “his own iPhone apps”.
The assistant will also plan early events including family birthdays, organise family holidays and individual holidays, create an inventory for holiday villas, and “manage and organise individual family members (Sandra, Andre, Chonte and Chase, family pets)”. They must help to plan and organising special yearly calendar events such as mother’s day, black history month, and Christmas, and be on call “24/7” the whole year round.
So basically you have to be a skivvy for the whole family but also capable of building a brand and developing apps.
Any takers?

Building him into a global brand? He's towards the end of his career, if he's not global now, it's a bit late!

Sounds like a great job for a PA. Can't be many on £60k a year surely? All the perks on top as well.

Probably quite a cool job for a youngish single person without family commitments to worry about the time demands the job will likely have...

Swapping the rights to an iPhone app and making his other business projects a success seems a fair swap for a seat in Sunderland on a cold Tuesday night (if you can spare the time to attend)
Managing family members is just taking the piss, if they need PA's hire PA's, you can't just say one person is in charge of everyone. It just sounds like they are bloody lazy (organising Mother's Day - card - check, restaurant - check).
How the hell are you going to get a 32 year old footballer at Sunderland better recognition within the media?
I don't really think I'm PA material and for that reason I'm out
Regards

Sounds like 1/2 a dozen PA jobs.
I'd guess he'd be ok to work for, but I bet some of the family would cause you endless aggravation.

60k is huge salary for someone in the North East, it's probably around 3x average.

Expect the bonus would be decent when Sunderland stay up on final day. I love the fact that it is about 8 jobs in one. £60K + the likely perks seem very decent to me. Every day would be different...
ERRANDS
- Organise all Jermain’s personal needs i.e. drycleaners, gardeners, house refurbishments, Sourcing interior designers and everyday tasks etc.
- Regularly checking the home when Jermain is away, making sure all is in place for his return i.e. fridge is stocked and plants watered and house is clean.
- Select and organise wardrobe with specific designers for special events/appearances i.e. Oswald boateng, Harrods, ZAP etc
BRANDING
- Create his own clothing line/Fragrance for e-commerce on his website

More, probably...
Also, I think £60k is quite mean for this (London based anyway I imagine...)
Suspect there are a lottttt of very good PAs on more than this.

Impossible one person could handle all this work surely. Even if someone could they'd want a lot more than £60k to do it.

Sounds like a 24/7 job also so 60k hourly would not be as juicy although if I had the above mentioned skills it could be a fun year.

Nah, thats a huge overestimation.
Top PA's in London are doing very well to be on £50k.

Really? I'm very surprised by that.
Guess I was basing everything on Donna in Suits...

I think I slightly overstated that actually.
